We’re Mia and James. The Founders of Breathe.

Before we started this venture we worked together in James’ yoga studio called Yoga West in West London. We both had very different lives before yoga. James worked in finance for 10-years, mainly investing into and raising money for private equity funds. Mia spent a number of years working in marketing for a VC-backed start up.

We’re both qualified yoga teachers and appreciate that breathing is the fundamental quality of a yoga practice. Yet during the covid pandemic it has become the vector of transmission for the virus. 

James started looking for an air purification system to ensure his members were as safe as possible when practicing at the studio. One day he mentioned this to Mia who surprised him by saying her family owned a specialist lighting manufacturer in Germany using UV to kill covid spores in the air.  

Having spent a very long time looking for an effective, quiet, safe and well-priced system they soon realised that the Breathe Air Purification System could help many businesses ensure their offices, surgeries, gyms, studios, schools, restaurants, shops, care homes, hotels, hairdressers and homes were as safe as possible for their clients, customers, patients and friends and family.
